I was saving a space for you - a huge space that I know you can fill up just by existing in my life. But then you had to prove me wrong.
Today, a prince charmed its way out of my heart. Completely. He wasn't there to save me from the bad bad dragon, or the evil witch, or from the poisoned apple. He doesn't plan to slay the enemy or wake me up from deep sleep through a kiss. He was just there to attend the festivities - to eat, drink, and dance at the ball. As midnight comes, his true colors will show and it is a shade far too dark than what I deserve.
Unlike Rapunzel, I am cutting my "hair". I won't let him have the chance to ask me to let it down so that he can climb up and save me. I'd rather stay up the tower than give him the opportunity to kill me by stabbing that sword through my already broken heart.
