New Year's at Lola's.

Spending first day of the new year has always been a tradition. This is the time we do our exchange gifts, play games, raffles, and sing our hearts out at videoke. Also, its the 3rd year the family heirloom (damn! i don't have the pic) has been transferred. This is a private joke everyone in the family anticipates every year.
What made this year more special are the shirts we are wearing. For Christmas, I got my family super cool, one-of-a-kind, handpainted shirts made by Mark Kevin Capus - he is a sponsored youth of Children International Manila, where I work. I am mighty proud of that kid and I believe (with that kind of talent) he will go places someday.
Photos of us and the shirts are here.

A Year of Worth

Today is a milestone.
A year of being part of an organization that brings real help and real hope to children somehow gives me a feeling of satisfaction, a sense of fulfillment and achievement, that no other task can measure up to.
This endeavor, humbles me and hones me to be a better (grounded) person.
"That's why I'm very proud of the kind of work that I do".
Take some time to visit our website and our blog and see how these kids can melt your hearts, in a good way. :)
