For the first time in my whole 22 years of existence, i was actually asked on a date on Valentine's day. (Or at least i thought it was an invite- but then it wasn't). For sure it didn't mean anything. Just an excuse to go out and spend the night eating yummy but expensive food. But it was put off for the weekend. Why? To avoid the swarm of couples in restaurants. And because of the lonely hearts club invite. And because i really don't find the need to celebrate. And coz just the same, it doesn't mean anything. And im glad to have/leave it that way. Case closed.
I think my friends' blogs gave enough condemnation for this day so I'll try not to add more but nevertheless, my sentiments would probably be the same. Hate is such a strong word, but this day just really isn't included in my special days list. To some, it may be one of the most memorable moments/days in their lives but to me, it just isn't. Argh.
So for all those like me and my friends who hate.. err... who doesn't see anything special about this day... Join me as i declare this day, A Day of Mush and Goo. Not mushy and gooey. Just plain Mush* and Goo*.
(Just as i am writing this, my sister's bf came here and dropped off flowers for me and my mom... Now, im thinking of taking back everything that i said... But then again... NOT!)
